Brand History
In November 2003, Dr. Ing. h.c. F.
Porsche AG, Stuttgart, and Porsche Design Management GmbH, Salzburg,
merged their activities relating to the sale of accessories,
clothing and sports equipment in the design and licensing business
as well as the retail sector in the new company, Porsche Lizenz-
und Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG (Porsche Design Group).
The companyÕs activities are focused on the business areas Porsche
Design, Porsche Design Driver's Selection and the Porsche Design
Studio in Zell am See, Austria.
Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, designer of the Porsche
911 and grandson of the Porsche founder, established the Porsche
Design brand in 1972. It is one of the leading luxury brands
in the high-quality men's accessories business.
The products are attracting consumers with their technical innovation
and represent functionality and timelessness in its purest form.
Porsche Design offers classic menÕs accessories such as timepieces,
eyewear, pocket knives, writing tools, luggage and leather goods,
as well as smoking accessories and shoes. This product range
has been extended to include fashion, sport, furniture and electronic
products. Porsche Design is available in Porsche Design stores,
shop-in-shops, exclusive department stores and upmarket specialist
shops.
The brand Porsche Design Driver's Selection covers the vehicle-related
product range for Porsche drivers and fans. The collection includes
among other things model cars, lifestyle accessories and flexible
luggage combinations for the cars and is distinguished by quality,
functionality and sportive design ' from innovative and flexible
luggage combinations for the cars, distinctive fashion and lifestyle
accessories to the wide range of model cars. Porsche Design Driver's
Selection products are available in Porsche centers and the Porsche
AG online shops. |
