History
Since the companyﾕs foundation in
1955 in la Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland,CORUM has taken pride
in being a distinctively different and forward-thinking Swiss
watch manufacturer.
The founders,Gaston Ries and his
nephew Rene Bannwart,brought together their respective strengths
as watchmaker and creative designer.They transformed their small
private label watch factory Info a watchmaking manufacture with
its own brand:CORUM.
The talents of the two founders
complemented one another perfectly and success soon followed:only
one year later, in 1956, the first CORUM watches made their appearance
on the market, widely acclaimed by peers and collectors alike.Their
audacious originality and quality of workmanship helped the young
